Recipes to share with others

12/21/10 -Spaghetti, sliced oranges, cheesy bubble bread.


Put water in a medium pan and heat it up until it starts boiling. Then add the spaghetti noodles or any other noodles, also add about 1 tsp of salt to the water and 1 tsp of olive oil. Turn burner on medium to simmer for about 10 -12 minutes. While the spaghetti is cooking go ahead and start preparing your cheesy bubble bread and slice your oranges. When the the noodles are al dente. Turn off the burner and drain the water from the pan immediately. When the pasta is drained put back into pan and add the spaghetti sauce or what my husband & I like to use is the Alfredo Sauce. 


Recipe for Cheesy Bubbly Bread:                                        Heat oven to about 350 degree's


Add 1/2 c. of mayonnaise in a bowl
Add 1/2 c. of shredded cheese.
Mix together and put mixture on any kind of bread (preferably Italian Bread)
Add some sliced Green onions to the top of the cheesy bread and put the bread slices on a pan and put in a heated oven until its all bubbly. ( About 3-5 min)




 12/22/10 - Coconut Thai Rice, Salad, cheesy bubble bread & sliced oranges.


2 cups  jasmine white rice
2 cups  Thai coconut milk
1 & 3/4 cups water
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. vegetable oil

Add oil to the bottom of a deep-sided pot. Place rice, coconut milk, water, and salt in the pot and set over high. Stir occasionally to keep rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot and burning. Once the coconut-water has begun to gently bubble, stop stirring and reduce heat to low. Cover your pan with a lid and let simmer 15-20 minutes, or until most of the liquid has been absorbed by the rice. While this is cooking, start cutting your oranges, make the salad and getting the cheesy, bubble bread ready. When you are finished preparing your cheesy bubble bread, put into the pre-heated 350 degree oven.Then check on your rice, pull rice aside with a fork. Drain Rice immediately if there is water left. Cover back with lid until ready to serve. When ready to serve, remove the lid and fluff rice with a fork and serve. You are ready to eat your lovely, warm, and tasteful dinner.


12/28/10-Grilled Chicken & Fried Potatoes & Steamed Green Beans.


4 peaces of Chicken
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp Lemon Seasoning
Vegetable Oil
5 Potatoes


Thaw out chicken in the morning to be ready to cook that evening. When completely thawed put into refrigerator. When time to cook get out your grill and pre-heat it up. While grill is heating up add to the chicken: Worcestershire sauce, and lemon pepper seasoning then when the grill is ready put the chicken on the grill. While the chicken is cooking, heat up some oil in a medium size pan. While the oil is heating up, start cutting your potatoes, (approx 5 potatoes). Turn the chicken over on the other side on the grill. Then when the oil is heated up add the potatoes to the pot and cook until golden brown. approx 10 min. About this time the chicken will be ready to take off the grill and put on a plate and put into the microwave. When the food is finished cooking on the grill turn it off. Heat up the green beans in a pan with a little bit of water in the pan, on the stove and let it cook until about 5 min on high. Then put everything on the plates and put on the table and you are ready to eat.


12/29/10 Steak, Potatoes, Salad & Steamed Green Beans


2 Steaks
4 potatoes
salad
green beans

Take your steak out to thaw in the morning. When completely thawed put into refrigerator. When time to cook get out your grill and pre-heat it up. While grill is heating up add to the steak some steak seasoning. When the grill is ready go ahead and put the steak on the grill. Only needs to cook 2 min on one side and 3 minutes on the other. Then TAKE IT OFF. While the steak is cooking go ahead and get your salad ready and your steamed green beans. Put some green beans in a pan on the stove and turn on to medium high heat, add your green beans and some water about an inch or so (just enough to cover the beans). When they are cooked to your desire, about 6 min turn off burner and about that time, your steak will be ready to take off the grill. Then put everything on a plate and you are ready to eat. Enjoy!

12/30/10  Tomato Soup & Crackers



  • 4 cups chopped fresh tomatoes
  • 1 slice onion
  • 4 tsp cloves
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar or honey
  • Crackers
      1. In a pan, on medium heat, combine the tomatoes, onion, cloves and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, and gently boil for about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and run the mixture through a food mill into a large bowl, or pan. Discard any stuff left over in the food mill. In the empty pot on the stove, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a rue cooking until brown. Gradually whisk in a bit of the tomato mixture so that there are no lumps forming, then stir in the rest. Season with sugar and salt and adjust to the taste you would like.

    1. 1/28/11  Fish, Tabbouleh, Couscous.

      In a pan, on medium heat, add your fish to the pan and sprinkle lemon pepper on top of the fish. Let it cook for about 3-4 min on one side and flip and another 3-4 min on the other side. When the fish is cooked cover and turn off burner.  For the Tabbouleh, and the Couscous buy the mix and add follow directions.
